This workshop summarizes and demonstrates key principles from the science of learning that, when deployed in the classroom, help students learn more efficiently.
The science of learning incorporates research and findings from cognitive psychology, neuroscience, and education to unpack the way humans learn. An enormous amount is now known about how learning and memory work and researchers have discovered much about how the human brain encodes and retrieves memories. The principles are very general, and therefore help humans learn anything. However, very little of this research is systematically used in education - this workshop aims to change that.
